What is vector? What is pixel? What is Vexel? Why so many people argue about what is vector and what is not? Is Corel Draw or Adobe Ilustrator is vector? Is Photoshop Pixel? And what it is about vexel?
I found a quote "Vector is a technique and not a style".
This is what I think. There is no pure vector in deviantART. Because the vector it self only happen inside the software. Once it is exported to jpg, png, or print it or whatever ... it is no longer vector, it is a picture, a drawing, a graphic or whatever.
The perfect software of vector is CAD. In CAD, you don't have metric scale or pixel. What you have in CAD is purely independent unit that you can convert to whatever you like, meters, inches, or pixel. And CAD works on mathematic principles like:

What is an area? An area is what you got by intersect two or more linear equation or curves. What about Circles? Do you know the xy equation if a circle or elipse?
What is a three dimensional form? It is when you add the z axis to the graph. When you project a three dimensional form with one or more vanishing point to a flat layer, you will have perspective.
Vector is a method of declairing math equation.
But what about what we do here?
. Don't you know why they call it VECTOR DRAWING? It is a drawing. When you use pen tool, rectangular, or curve, no matter what software, it is vector, because, all the nods, all the anchor point work based on math equation.
